Lean diagnosis from one data capture
The waste calculator, the VSM preparation sheet and the A3 priority matrix on one page, with shared inputs. Plant data produces a waste estimate and value stream metrics, and the three largest wastes are highlighted. The ranked improvement list is sent on request.
The fields start with example values — replace them with your own. The page stores and forwards nothing.
01Waste
One question per waste type. Where no measured data exists, a shop-floor estimate is enough.
02Value stream
| Step | Cycle time (s) | Changeover (min) | Operators | Availability (%) | Inventory before (pcs) |
|---|
03Improvement list
The list is built from the three largest wastes and the value stream data. Impact and effort scores can be edited, and the ranking follows.
| Idea and source | Impact | Effort | Score |

Next step
An A3 is written for the top-ranked improvement, with one owner and one measurable target. The other items wait in the backlog until then.

We send the full waste ranking, the ranked improvement list and the printable diagnosis after reviewing the data you submit. Enter your organisation and contact name and compose the e-mail.
The email opens in your own mail client with the inputs only. Calculated results are not included.
How it is calculated
The waste estimate, takt, lead time, PCE and ranking use the same formulas and assumptions as the standalone tools (22% carrying rate, 48 production weeks, 230 shifts, 150 retraining hours). Impact scores in the improvement list follow the share of each waste: above 30% scores 5, above 20% scores 4, above 10% scores 3, otherwise 2.
This tool is an estimate and a decision aid, not business advice and not an audited calculation.
